Radar Animation of Hurricane Irene
  An animation of the composite radar over the Mid-Atlantic region. The animation starts at 8pm Friday August 26th (00Z Aug 27) and ends at 10am Sunday August 28, 2011 (14Z Aug 28), covering a 38 hour period. The file format is .mov and the size is 7.4MB.

"Snowmageddon" radar movie
  Two day animation of the radar maps during the early February 2010 snow event, which was a high impact event for Northern Virginia. The movie is in the ".mov" format.
   
 
Radar movie of the April 8, 2010 Frontal Passage
  One day animation of a nice linear frontal passage in early April 2010. Not very exciting, but it did drop temeratures 25 degrees from one day to the next.
   
 
April 24, 2010 Severe Weather in the Gulf States
  Hourly composite maps showing visible satellite, radar, and RUC analyzed SLP and 500mb heights. Mouse-over the left column of tabs to select or psuedo-animate the images. Note the long-lived tornadic supercell located near the Mississippi River over NE Louisiana at 16Z, moving across the state of Mississippi through 20Z.
